Forbes of Kingennie offer beautiful, self-catering accommodation within the idyllic Angus countryside, just 15 minutes’ drive from Dundee. Its lodges boast balconies and fantastic views.
Lodges boast either tranquil woodland or scenic waterside locations. There are numerous scenic walking trails throughout the surrounding area. Dundee’s Overgate Shopping Centre and rail station are both 15 minutes away by car.
We stayed in the Stargazer and it was perfect.

The Hideaway Experience is located in beautiful countryside less than 4 miles from Auchterhouse and around 4 miles from Dundee. There are five hideaways designed for guests to enjoy romance, privacy and pampering, all accredited 5 star by Visit Scotland. The Romantics is a traditional romantic country cottage (shown below as King suite). The Honeymooners, Dreamers, Stargazers and Lovers are more modern eco-design properties with a wall of south facing windows. The privacy and relative remoteness. The underfloor heating and generous amount of logs for the log burner. The layout of the property & the facilities.

Friendly hosts, cosy and comfortable accommodation - the lodge was so well cared for and had lots of extras like games and puzzles. It was super warm and cosy in the rain. Close to Forfar and Dundee.

Lodges are very spacious but so cosy. Well equipped with everything you need too. Resort is lovely, bar and restaurant offer nice food. Location handy for Dundee, Broughty Ferry and Carnoustie. Excellent value for money.
