Featuring free private parking, the lodge is in an area where guests can engage in activities such as hiking and cycling. Friendly welcome at time of booking & on arrival from Jackie who was also very informative. The chalet was fabulous! It was very well equipped, spotless & tastefully decorated throughout. Bathrooms were immaculate. As a family of four the ensuite shower room was a welcome addition. We found that it was a great location to explore, lots to do & plenty of places to visit in the surrounding towns. Lots of leaflets available in the chalet. We enjoyed the walk through the forest at Harestanes up to the Waterloo monument. We also enjoyed a lovely meal at the on site restaurant. We would love to return & would definitely recommend No.47.

Everything the location, the owner Jackie couldn't do enough for us. Number 42 was so clean and like a home away from home. Would definitely recommend and stay again
Lodge was fantastic Had everything we needed for our stay
the large bed was excellent, the large room was spotless, the breakfast was lovely, there is nothing bad I can say about this bed and breakfast. I've stayed in hotels all over England including Premier and Travelodge and this B&B knocks spots off them.
We loved the view of the hills and river out of the windows and watching the horses run across the fields. There was everything we needed in the lodge so although we only stayed three nights we settled in quickly and it felt like home straight away. The hot tub was amazing too!
Location for us was excellent, the lodge was very comfortable and homely. Meeting up with Jackie was a joy, she was so friendly and helpful offering us so much good advice about the area what to see, where to eat, and apologising for the weather.
Beautiful decor, well equipped with everything you will need (and much more). We have stayed in many lodges and this was by far the nicest and most homely. The owners checked in to see if everything was to our satisfaction. Great views, comfy beds and the restaurant on site was surprisingly very good. All in all a wonderful, stay, we will definitely return.
Absolutely stunning Lodge, beautiful views. Excellent location for visiting all the attractions. Welcome pack was amazing. Wanted for nothing. Definitely be back
Reception was friendly, efficient and exactly what you would wish to find. The staff were excellent, without being intrusive, and delivered an outstanding service. The lodge was spacious and clean with everything you could wish for. The service and food for breakfast and dinner were wonderful, with a large variety of choices, well prepared. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and we would certainly stay again.
Everything was amazing. Beautiful location by the river, fantastic spotless accommodation with incredible bathrooms and other facilities and genuinely wonderful hosts who went above and beyond. You would be very hard pushed to find better. We highly recommend using this Black burn Lodge.
