Everything was amazing! Zack did a great job making us all (there were 7 of us) feel welcomed. The living space and kitchen was big enough to allow us all to hang out. Zack put a power outlet in each of the bedrooms to let us plug in all our devices. The showers were great! It really was a great place to stay.

Units at the lodge are fitted with a flat-screen TV, double height living room, spacious dining area and terrace. A fully equipped kitchen has a microwave, refrigerator and stovetop. You will find a private bathroom with a large bath. 2 Western-style bedrooms and a Japanese-style bedroom are provided. The property is very nice. It was not too far off from most things. we were able to make breakfast and dinners with comfort for our large family.

Surrounded by lush mountains in Minakami, Tenjin Lodge is just a 5-minute walk from Tenjindaira Snow Resort Ropeway and JR Doai Station. Activities like rafting, hiking and canoeing can be enjoyed in the area. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the property. Everyone was friendly. Was able to meet people with different cultures and all got along very easily. The staff was very knowledgeable about the environment all around in nearby town.

The lodge manager is a super chill dude,despite arriving very late, he managed to cook me up a nice dinner. The lodge can be reachable via Joetsu JR if you get off at 土合駅 Doai station, and if would more than ideal if you can drive. Be wary of that the doai station has a long underground tunnel that would take you 8 minutes even if run down stairs.

Tenjin Lodge is easy to get to, has welcoming staff, and proximity to mind blowing winter terrain. It's a great value when all is considered and the meals are as delicious as their restaurant recommendations in Minakami. We had a great time and will be back!

Close to Tanigawa Ropeway and snowshoeing to Ichinokura-gawa, Tenjin Lodge is a great place to stay in the Mount Tanigawa area. The rooms are comfortable and the owners and staff are really helpful as well.

Beautiful high-end camping location. Lodge has everything you could have asked for. Very clean and beds were super comfy. BBQ set outside ready to be used and fireplace was also amazing.
