Everything in our stay was perfect. The location of Kandalama lodge is great if you want to visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Sigirya and Pidurangala. The lodge is cleverly designed, and well maintained. The garden is a quiet oasis, peaceful and beautiful. We stayed in both the deluxe villa with the private pool and the “regular” rooms. We enjoyed both. The staff made our stay even better. I’ve never seen a manager, cook and helpers so attentive in my life. I rarely rate a stay a 10/10 but they deserve it.

Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. Lovely garden around the house, made us feel like being in the jungle. Clean and nice room, with A/C and mosquito net. Extremely kind and helpful host, in case you need he will arrange transportation services at good price. Nice breakfast included, very abundant. The way to the hotels gives you a lovely view on the lions rock! We can definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

Sri Dalada Maligawa is 29 km from the lodge, while Kandy Museum is 29 km away. The spiritual nature farm is a very warm and familiar place. (This is not a classic accommodation and is therefore exactly the right place for people looking for authenticity) I gained great experiences here and learned a lot about life and nature in Sri Lanka. there is a lot to improve. This is what the spiritual nature farm is committed to. Anyone who wants to can become a part of it. The equipment and comfort were completely sufficient for my needs. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. If you love to stay in a calm, quiet place, this is the one. Food was really good and staff were really helpful you can request food you want. Overall it was a different experience like in a forest.

Incredibly kind family owners-I arrived super early having cycled there, they served me a delicious breakfast and got my room ready ASAP. Location is fab-you can enter Sigiriya rock via a back entrance (but it might be worth getting your entry ticket on your way to hotel as its a bit of a walk to the ticket office (inside the museum) once you are at the hotel. Easy walk into town/ restaurants. Room is basic but super clean,mini fridge, kettle provided and outdoor seating. All set in lovely garden.
