New Year at Forest Edge Lodge was an absolute delight! The hosts were incredibly gracious and warm, welcoming us with open arms. Staying at the lodge was just what we needed. It's tucked away, giving a sense of escape without being too isolated. The atmosphere was homely and the hosts, incredibly welcoming. Looking forward to our next visit to this charming spot.

A beautiful room in an old wooden house. There is a fridge and a tea kettle, but no kitchen (I didn't need any). Parking in the yard. The location is not very central, but it's 10 minutes on foot to the nicest part of Riga with good restaurants etc.; the Old Town is a bit further away. Dace is a very nice host, she greeted me in person on arrival and quiclky showed around. In sum, the place is perfect for a short stay, or for a longer one if you are fine with a short commute and plan to eat mostly out.

Thanks to Gary and Elena for a great stay. The lodge was perfect and it’s very clear they put a lot of effort into making our stay as pleasant as possible. The lodge has everything you could possibly need, is very spacious, clean and comfortable. We especially liked the well-appointed kitchen and the wood burning stove. Location is good for both Riga and Jūrmala - we used Bolt but you could easily drive or get a bus. Overall, for the price and compared to other nearby properties, we think this was good value.

Historical wooden house, beautifully refit. Enchanting neighbourhood with visible social history. Restaurant in the village at walking distance. Nature walks all around.

Comfortable characterful place - feels like an old forest lodge. I loved the balcony in the double room overlooking the extensive garden and the nearby lake. The hosts could not be friendlier and will share local knowledge.

Place is truly amazing! Nice wooden house with beautiful garden. Very nice and calm enviroment with everything you need. Inna is a very caring and dear host who helped us with everything we needed including airport transfer. I recommend this place 110%! :-)

We felt very cared for an noticed that owner was really attentive to our needs. She even arranged for us early check in because we came with a bus in the morning. Great place to escape for silent retreat and enjoy beautiful seaside of old port town of Ainaži. The place was very authentic in beautiful renovated wooden house. Great place to stay with a family.

The Safari Lodge is a cosy and nice place to be. We had a warm and hearty welcome by the owner and his family. There is plenty of room outside available and an authentic outdoor safari bathroom with hot water and plants. It's a chilly place, no noise, no stress, safe area. Nice restaurants nearby, not far to the beaches. A wonderful different summer experience. Can 100% recommend it!
