The breakfasts were delicious and the place is nicely decorated, comfortable and just fantastic. We felt like family the second we drove down the driveway and were greeted as we pulled up. A truly wonderful stay.

Te Ti Bay Beach is 1.2 km from the lodge, while Opua Forest is 10 km from the property. The nearest airport is Bay of Islands Airport, 23 km from Bay of Islands Lodge. The location was good. An easy walk to the town Center and the ferries. It was my first time trying a hostel-like accommodation and it was excellent. The owners were very friendly and accommodating.

Set on a promontory above Veronica Channel and the entrance to Port Opua Harbour, Cliff Edge by the Sea offers magnificent uninterrupted sea views. With no near neighbours Guests are assured relative peace and privacy. Access to the secluded beach below is a mere 5 minutes walk. The place is magnificent. It has extensive sea views. It is elegant and sophisticated . We were very lucky to have the place for ourselves and enjoyed a nice time on the couches. The room is big and warm, the bed is very comfortable and the shower is very nice as well. Peter prepared a very nice breakfast which we enjoyed with a very nice view. We will definitely return!
