The location is superb! The hotel pick up and drop off your bags to the boat which is great as you can get off the boat earlier and do a hike into the lodge.

The Bay Lodge was absolutely fantastic! It was everything and more. Anything you could possibly need was in the accommodation and the hosts couldn’t have done more for us. They booked any excursions we wanted to do and even baked delicious carrot cake for us to have with drinks whilst we were relaxing by the pool.

The manager was exceptionally helpful recommending things to do - all of which we thoroughly enjoyed . We had dinner there the three nights we stayed and the food was delicious and service exemplary . Breakfast was great, the room had everything we needed . Highly recommend Ratanui Lodge

Very comfortable. Upgraded to the lodge. Very hospitable hosts. Lovely views. Good heat pump and great kitchen, comfortable bed.

Local to Nelson, took advantage of a great deal, lovely lodge, will be back. Nice touches in the rooms, beautiful decor, and a lovely setting and location in general. Great breakfast, would love to have tried the evening meal.

The people here are fantastic and this Lodge is really welcoming and it was great to stay here. I also extended my stay here twice because I didn't want to leave!

We travelled as a couple and stayed in one of the private rooms outside - which we really enjoyed. The lodge has such a warm, homely feel and everyones attitudes reflected it. Great location at a great price too

We were very impressed by the overall ambience of the Lodge. The staff were friendly and pleasant and the manager was very good at her job and made us feelso relaxed. We had a wonderful time. The food was very good, we returned home feeling refreshed.
