We arrive after several days at the Douro valley, and by far - this place was the best we chose and stayed in. From the great hospitality of the host, to the facilities (Jacuzzi, Balcony, Breakfast and what not). Do yourself a favour and go there, believe us.

Opening to a terrace with mountain or river views, all units at the lodge are fitted with a kitchen with a fridge and a microwave. A stovetop and toaster are also offered, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. The apartments are clean and cozy with all general purpose things you could need for your stay. The surroundings are amazing, forests with mushrooms and trees. Also great for kids to be able to learn about farm animals and rural environments.

The lodge provides guests with a terrace, mountain views, a seating area, cable flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and a dishwasher, and a private bathroom with bidet and free toiletries. An oven, a microwave and stovetop are also provided, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. This house was great. The owner Jorge, and his son Daniel were very friendly and helpful. Jorge spoke very good english, and his son Daniel spoke perfect english. We expressed an interest in food to them, and they made some great suggestions, and even did something more personal for us. The house was very large, but also very clean, which is somewhat rare for a large rental house. The materials used in the recent refurbishment were high quality, and didn't feel "cheap". There was excellent water pressure in the showers, and plenty of hot water for showers. The internet is fiber, and I got approximately 100mbps, with 6ms latency. The daily fresh bread delivery was perfect for us. The house is about 10 minutes from the main city of Braganca, but it is an easy drive, and we didn't miss being IN the city.

A barbecue is available on site and both hiking and fishing can be enjoyed within close proximity of the lodge. Located at the end of the road surrounding the beautiful valley, we’ve been delighted by Joachim’s cabin, it’s super confortable and perfect for a few days, and the nature around is just beautiful. Joachim and his wife have been so nice and helpful, it’s difficult to not recommend this place. Thank you again.

Such beautiful location the big windows in the bungalows allowing you to take in the awesome scenery. Breakfast and coffee pods arriving on our doorstep in the morning was an extra surprise. The bungalows are clean and the beds very comfortable. We travelled in winter (frosty mornings) and the bungalows are well heated. The HUGE plus is dogs are welcome here. Great location for exploring Montealegre and Gerês.
