Zen atmosphere with the sound of waves, crickets at night and birds during the day. The owner Adi and his staff welcomed and treated us as we were in a 5* establishment. They were very accommodating day and night. There are 2 identical bungalows with a huge terrace. They are set in the middle of the plantation. The bed is comfortable and the fan works powerfully. Hot water with good pressure went the pump is on. The food is exceptional at a very good price. We had a gastronomical tasting for our first night. Ingredients are mainly from their plantation and according to the catch of the day for the seafood. Their fresh Cajamanga juice is addictive. We initially planned to stay 1 night but ended up staying 4 nights. We really enjoyed our experience, the kindness and the smile of this place.

Considering the remote location, food options are pretty scarce but tasty and cheap. Remember that the last 15 km are the roughest roads you'll probably ever drive on, use a 4WD and consider spending only a few nights if you want to explore the entire island or you'll be stuck there. Nearby villages provide a vibrant community but there is nothing more than a few local bars; buy food and fill your tank in Sao Tome city because that's the nearest place in the supply chain you'll encounter on the road.
