We loved it so much that we struggled to leave.

Linked to the Ipoh parade where there are a variety of shops. You can take grab which is easily accessible to Ipoh town area and other attractions too.. The lobby was clean and smelled great. The staff were polite, Shamini helped us to check in earlier as our room was available. That was really helpful. The other hotel staff were polite and accommodative. Check in and out was smooth. 200 rm deposit was needed via cash or card. Our room was on the concept floor and it was really up to our expectations. Cleanliness was impeccable, enjoyed the free flow of drinks at the lounge area. And the jacuzzi was really amazing. The view was good too overseeing the mountains. Truly enjoyed the availability of the filter water tap in the bathroom. The bed was absolutely comfortable. Tv channels were good. The pool was of a good size but the cleanliness can be improved. Love that it is an infinity pool.. nice roof top deck for you to lounge around too. Breakfast was quite a spread ranging from asian to international, absolutely love the ipoh coffee. Tastiness can be improved for some dishes especially the dhal for the prata.

Both the reception and restaurant teams were very polite and helpful. After the first breakfast, the waiters remembered what kind of coffee I drank and what kind of eggs I liked. + The hotel is located in such a way that the sounds of the city are not heard there (even though there are shops etc. nearby) - at least in the rooms facing the lake. Thanks to this, you can relax incredibly and listen to the sounds of the jungle (you can hear the monkeys very well in the evening) instead of car engines. + Swimming pools - there are several of them, the water in them is warm, one is even additionally heated. And a swimming pool for children with a small slide (this one would need to be renovated, as it is difficult to slide down). + The garden and all the greenery around the hotel - it is fantastically maintained and the staff constantly takes care of it! + Large apartments with 2 bedrooms (and 2 bathrooms) are available, which also have a large balcony. + There is a great path around the lake - walking along it is very pleasant, and you can also read various natural facts. + Breakfast - quite a large selection (although it is usually larger in 5* hotels). I missed the flavors of European cuisine.

Each air-conditioned villa at the Pangkor Laut Resort - Small Luxury Hotels of the World features a private balcony that open up to views. Villas are fitted with a flat-screen TV, desk and a minibar. The en suite bathroom includes shower facilities. We loved our stay at Pangkor Laut. It is a beautiful resort on a small jungle island. All the staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Our room, the view, the poolside, the beach, the spa, everything was perfect. You can take Shuttle busses around the resort, however we did everything by foot. (be aware it is not a flat island and it goes quite uphill/downhill to the beach). You see a lot of animals (monkeys, hornbills, etc.), which is very nice. The resort has a nice relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful ambiance and offers very good quality of service and food. We will for sure be back.
