Each of the units at Harmony Luxury Tented Camp feature a private viewing deck, where guests can often see wild animals. Harmony seriously has the wow factor. The tents are so luxurious and the views from each one are very special. Opening all the windows created an amazing view that was so relaxing and brings nature into the tent. (Windows are mosquito safe so no problems there). The best experience ever. Mike and Mariejke are one of the best hosts I have experienced. True down to earth hospitality. We certainly made new friends with them. Booking the evening meal is a must! Mariejke is an amazing cook and Mike a Braai master! The food was just delicious. Such great value for money and the atmosphere in the evening was super. The friendliest people and they gave great tips for travellers. They recommended the Walking Giraffe safari on the neighbouring property and was an experience you won't forget. All in all this was wonderful and will be going back anytime I am in the Eastern Cape. You cannot go wrong staying there. Perfect location for Addo Elephant Park which was not far away. We stayed 3 nights but would have stayed longer if we had known how incredible it was. We made some lovey memories there.

The 5-star, spacious and elegantly decorated suites offer a private patio with views of the surrounding landscapes and animals. All have air conditioning, a ceiling fan, flat-screen TV, coffee machine and a bathroom with separate bath and shower and complimentary toiletries The grounds were really beautiful with cottages surrounding artfully landscaped grounds that were filled with birdsong. The chef was truly excellent and we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners. Our park ranger, Paul MacKenzie, was outstanding. He knew the wildlife really well and had many tales from his interesting life. Rafa, one of the elephants blessed us with his presence at the gate on the day of our game drive and were fortunate to spend a lot of time with one of the lions. The Park concession was very good because it gave us long views. In contrast, during our solo drive from the bottom of Addo to the top, there was large bush obscuring views. I found the staff at River Bend to be really friendly and enjoyed my many conversations with them, particularly time spent talking to Jenna. I also enjoyed talking to Gladys, who worked in the kitchen. She and I share an interest in sewing with Shweshwe. We highly recommend River Bend. It is truly a 5 star experience.

Also available are bush picnics and weekly dinners around the boma fireplace. the view was amazing, the staff were friendly and nice, and even waited for us even though we checked in late. The food was mind blowing although it did that a while for the mains to arrive, and as a sign that we will return, our bottle of wine is still left with the waitress. To have a game ranger like Martin conducting our twice daily drives was the “cherry on the top”.
