Our road trip passed by Meningie and it was a convenient stop - however you need to be aware, that this town shuts down at eight in the evening and particularly on Monday and Tuesday you might have difficulties to find some dinner (at least we didn't see anything on Google Maps). We had anticipated this and arrived with a pizza, which we enjoyed in our quite large room. The location is otherwise quite nice, there's the lakefront just over the road with lots of birds and in the morning the town wakes up and is very nice. We got some breakfast two doors north.

The owners were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and nice to talk to. I wish I could have spent another night there. The locatikn is great, with it being right next to the lake.

Glorious. I had not expected this from a two-star establishment, which was clean and had all the necessary.
