The restaurant is delightful, contemporarily decorated with nods to nearby Blenheim. the drinks were reasonable: 1 1/2 pints and a double rum and coke for £12.80 and the portion sizes generous: not those arty spoonfuls that are gone in one mouthful. wonderfully friendly staff. Sturdys Castle is more of a motel the reception and restaurant are part time but the times are clearly displayed. The food was good basic pub food. The surroundings were clean and well maintained and the staff very helpful and friendly. This is not a boutique luxury hotel but it serves its purpose in giving a good no frills clean accommodation. As a lone older lady I felt safe with the good door lock and recommend as a base to explore the area.JenniferSolo traveller

Most of the accommodation is in motel style rooms in a newish building at the rear and is spacious and comfortable with good beds and bathrooms. Our rooms had bath with shower over. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we were able to extend our check-out until 11:30 with no extra charge. There is a large free car park.

Perfect location for Blenheim Palace and able to easily keep bike in our room rather then worry leaving it in the car. Room accessed via outside courtyard so no need to carry bike through hotel. Ample free parking. Room clean and spacious. Very quiet.
