I just recently realized owner operated hotels in good neighborhoods are the way to go, they care more then chain motels, but the price is vary from inexpensive / to a little higher. It is just nice to have somebody at the reception, especially because we got there in the very early evening. We have experienced this a couple time during our vacation and we are well aware that this is because it is hard to find staff....not only in Escalante Anyway, we would choose this motel again Recommended :-)

The room was quite clean. There were 2 chairs, a small fridge and microwave and easy, contact-free checkin and ample shampoo and shower gel and tissues. The owner (Nate?) was very nice and always available by phone. Walkable to a pub, market and restaurants.

Each room has their own porch chairs and outdoor picnic table. Our room included all the modern conveniences (refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, TV, hairdryer), and the bed was extremely comfortable.
