Rainbow Courts, motel in Rockdale

This historic Rockdale hotel features antique furnishings and modern upgrades, including free wireless internet access in every unit. It is conveniently located between Austin and College Station, about 50 miles from each.

Really lovely independent hotel with a beautiful lawn and comfortable, well decorated rooms. Coffee and homemade muffins for breakfast were great. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

    I enjoyed the fact that this establishment is a historical landmark as the oldest motel in Texas and family owned. On the 1st night, our room was not very comfortable because it was not cool. It is likely due to the extreme heat during this time. The owner was kind enough to give us another room. But when we returned to our original room, it had cooled down. There are other places to stay in Rockdale, but Rainbow Courts is the place for me when visiting my family.

    cleanest, best maintained motel i have experienced. a real gem with great staff, beautiful grounds, lovely rooms, excellent rates and friendly staff. it is registered as a historical site. would give it more than a 10 if i could.
