Looking for a motel?

Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. Absolutely nothing. The front desk guy was nice but the motel was awful. The bed were disgusting and the non smoking room reeked of cigarettes. My fiancé attempted to take a bath and the hot water was gone within 5 minutes. Everything about the place was bad. I don't know how they are still in business.

We originally booked for the Budget Inn on Lycoming Creek Road as it was near the hospital. I was having an early surgery the next morning. They had no hot water. So the sent us to Motel 8 in Montoursville.

This hotel has so much character! It is not a sterile motel, but a 9-story building in downtown, full of history, comfortable beds and a super staff. Full buffet breakfast was great. Setting in a nice dining room. I will go again in a heartbeat!

The motel unfortunately had several gas well workers staying there. A bit noisy.

Overall the motel was great! The only complaint I have is that when we went into the room and went to put our drinks in the refrigerator it still had food in it from the person before us. Very friendly reception when you check in and out. Supplied fresh towels everyday without asking them too!!

Well placed, with plenty of shops and bars/restaurants close by - we went to Stonehouse Pizza, which was very nice. Reasonably priced, good size room, comfy bed - a useful one night stopover on the drive from Niagara-On-The- Lake to Washington DC. Free parking in the handy car park next door. Nice to see dogs everywhere we went, in the lifts and hallways.
