The motel and the room are well kept, everything is bright and spotless. There is an attention to every detail to make our stay the most enjoyable possible. Blackout curtains were an added bonus. The room had everything we needed including fridge, microwave, coffee, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Each room offers access to an outdoor table and chairs. Very clean, very well organised, all usables top spec. Plenty of toiletries and towels etc. Location couldn't be any better. I took a picture from our room window which has excellent views. Next morning, before the check out, we had a chance to meet Vicky (the owner) who was marvellous and went out of her way to help us. The guest rooms at Motel Cofotel also have cable TV. They include helpful amenities like an iron, a coffee maker, and a hairdryer. The room was very large with air conditioning. We were given a free upgrade to 2 queen beds instead of one queen bed. The lovely lady at the check-in desk let us park out front with our truck, I think because we had kayaks and bikes on it. The hotel is on the main highway. No road noise, quiet room. We had a fridge in the room but no microwave. The sparkling clean bathroom had all amenities including a hair dryer. The bed was very comfortable and fresh. 2 blocks from the ferry terminal and three restaurants.

Aux Portes du Soleil is a motel located within 10 minutes' walk from the restaurants, art galleries and shops on St-Jean-Batiste Street. A train station and public market are also nearby.

The rooms at Aux Portes du Soleil include air conditioning, free WiFi, flat-screen TV, a microwave and refrigerator. Each room offers access to a furnished balcony. The only thing I could suggest is to upgrade the television for a bigger format and maybe have some shampoo/conditioner available in the shower but I absolutely loved my stay at Aux Portes du Soleils!
