Featuring traditional Japanese hot springs known as ‘onsen’, these hotels allow you to take a relaxing soak in therapeutic geothermal waters. Traditionally, onsens were located outdoors but a number of hotels also offer indoor facilities for private or shared use. The healing properties of each onsen will vary depending on its location, with ‘kuroyu’ black water known for its positive effects on skin.
Great location in Rotorua - close to the park with the natural hot springs, the lake and Eat Street. 5 mins from the bus station if you’re not driving, lots of parking if you are.
The bed was SO COMFORTABLE. I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in 4 weeks traveling through New Zealand.
Probably one of the best Novotels I've stayed in. Very good location with a lot of restaurants and bars at the doorstep and a vibrant food alley. Nice hot spring spas nearby and good number on parking outside.
Good property, very spacious and full of light, all necessary thinks provided, check-in was easy. we enjoyed the outdoor in Rotorua, one of our bucket list item is ticked for now. Visited the Maori village and saw the culture show, also visited the hot spring and dipped our feet into the hot water.
The bed was really comfy, the location was great for walking into Rotorua and going to the restaurants, shops and other attractions. The pool was clean and the hot springs were a lovely facility after a long day.
The motel is older style but well-maintained and comfortable, and with a good central location within walking distance of the Eat Street cafes and restaurants and next to a large park with hot springs and other thermal features.
This is a nice hotel with hostel vibes. Everything was new and clean, and the staff was very friendly. Bed was super comfy. Laundry services were easy to use. Location is perfect as its close to all the hot springs and restaurants in Rotorua.
