Everything was great about it , away from concrete nice and quiet , natural. Internet was slow this mentioned in other reviews but who cares that's the whole purpose of it .owners not only spent money on both properties they even decorated properties with love , while your stay you can feel and see the care all over property . for me complimentary fresh herbs were just cherry on cake .

The historic village of Wollombi was very scenic, we didn't have time to explore it as we were there for our daughter's wedding at a nearby retreat. We were warmly greeted by our host Jane, who took us on a tour of the main house which was a magnificent example of an early colonial mansion, very historic in origin. The Capers Guesthouse had a choice of three separate buildings for a stay, we had the Barn which was a real highlight as it was literally a slab barn with beautiful interior, so rustic but comfortable. The furniture inside was a collection of antiques which reflected the heritage atmosphere of the Barn and town. All modern facilities for cooking, the supplied breakfast had a choice of cereals or full cooked breakfast. The ingredients supplied were the best quality, tomatoes, huge mushrooms, eggs and the best sausages and bacon I've tasted in a long time. The bed was a huge king size, very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and supplied by fresh rainwater from tanks. We want to try the other buildings for a stay in the future and have the pleasure of a historic building stay.

It's was such a beautiful spot and very relaxing. Just the right distance from town, an easy walk and the locals are really lovely. I did an online meditation courses while I was there. The WiFi was great, which was really important for me. Being on my own I felt very safe and comfortable. Simon the host was very helpful and friendly. The tiny house was very cute and comfortable..

We had a wonderful stay- comfortable bed with views over the winery, warm fireplace, and a wonderful bath. Down the road from local tavern & cafe. 30 mins from Cessnock & main hunter valley tourist areas.

Location was stunning, super easy to get to the heart of the hunter, local cafes and the pub was nice too!
