Not exaggerating: This truly was the best accommodation of our whole holiday, in every perspective. Nice and spacy rooms with comfy beds, beautiful garden with outside pool, great common areas like living room and bar to meet with other people and fantastic dinner. But most importantly the hospitality of the owners, Jenny and Gavin, was absolutely amazing. They took us in like we were part of their family. They are taking very good care of their guests, preparing the perfect meals even taking into account any complicated allergies, sharing their stories and we had a lot of fun together. I would recommend Wendy’s country lodge to everybody coming to South Africa and this will be the first place I book when I’m visiting South Africa again. I start by the drive: I have to say the directions was quite well marked at the road edge and when I didn't know anymore shortly before arrival I asked the accommodation and I was immediately answered and helped. The room was absolutely enough for a lodge, sharing the room with two small geckos, the bed is comfortable and the room has everything you need to be happy. The service staff is very nice and attentive, I was satisfied with my breakfast request. And when I had to leave very early I even noticed a lunch pack. Of course, the lodge is not a five star hotel and who has high demands may not be served completely here, but for me and my requirements for a room in nature were perfect…
