'Haus mit mediterranem flair' was outstanding in every way. On arrival there was someone to meet you and explain everything one possibly needs to know. The fire was welcome due to the very cold weather at times - it's the best fire to create instant warmth and also to relax by. This house was a true home away from home, with lovely views as a bonus. We enjoyed walking in the area, and visiting Gmunden by the lake. Although we didn't meet the owners, communication was very easy and always prompt.

The location is absolutely perfect. Amazing views of the Traunstein and Traunsee, only a few minutes away from Gmunden (a lovely little town by the lake) and also not far from larger cities such as Vöcklabruck (10-15 min by car) and Salzburg (40 min by car). Both in the summer and winter, there is so much to do and explore nearby; any length of stay won't feel quite long enough. The property is also very clean and comfortable, and the hosting family go out of their way to make guests feel at home. For example, on arrival, some delicious homemade cake and jam were waiting for us, and when we had an unexpected bout of snow, we were handed some winter gear and sledge for our daughter. There is much more to praise about this place, but i don't want to make it even more popular than it is already to make sure it doesn't book out too quickly.

Location is mind-blowing! Hopefully we can go back once in summer too, but the house is perfect in winter as well. The fireplace is stunning! Underfloor heating gives such high-end comfort too. This house is setup for relaxation, while you can have fun in the playroom downstairs too. Swimming pool, barbeque facilities...so many things, that it's hard to list them all! Ohh, almost forgot the sauna! Once it has a plunge pool for the sauna, then it'll be the ultimate destination!
