Perfect location with absolutely magnificent view of the lake. Very good dining on the terrace, with daily menu specials which were very well composed. Staff was polite and helpful. This was the second time we have been to Hotel La Bussola, and we will surely return the next time we travel to Lago d’Orta.

Our rooms were perfectly situated, as requested, with my husband's mobility issues. The hotel is beautifully situated on the lake with superb views and facilities to enjoy the calm tranquil scenes, Staff were always helpful and breakfast was excellent.

Lovely hotel located on the edge of Lake Orta. Friendly helpful staff, easy check in, ample car parking. The room we were given was probably the best room in the hotel, immediately above the boat jetty, with an uninterrupted view across the lake and surrounding villages. A very quiet and peaceful stay, with good breakfast choices and plentiful good quality food. Excellent A La Cart restaurant.

If you like nature, you will love this place, everything was perfect. Our dog also enjoys the huge garden. The big tree protects you from rain and extreme sun, so you can sit outside everytime. Marco, the owner, who lives next to the cottage is very nice and engaged in every case. Thank you for all Marco!

The first night we found our room noisy as it was near the laundry store room but the manager changed rooms for us for the second night which was so much better. The view from the restaurant was amazing and the meals were delicious so we ate both nights at the hotel. I appreciated the swimming pool too! I would definitely return again.

Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good. The local village was near by with plenty of restaurants. Boat trips to the island from the square. It is smaller and less busy than other lakes which we really liked. A great relaxing break. Their was a music evening with special food which was excellent, really enjoyable. Great location to also go to Lake Maggiore. We went to Stresa and the islands which were very beautiful especially Bella.

Nice things to to do in the neighborhood (mountain Mottarone with 'Alpyand'; waterfall; the village of Orta-San Giulio....we brought as well a visit to Milano (one hour drive)). Enthusiastic host.
