La Fleur de Lys is housed in a 350 year-old building right in the centre of the medieval town of Gruyère, 400 metres from Gruyère Castle, the Giger Museum and the Tibet Museum. I stayed for 3 nights. Everything was exceptionally good here. I highly recommend this place. Check-in and out: smooth, fast and easy Staff: always nice, kind and helpful Breakfast: the best. They make daily bread and pastries right there right before serving. They serve all kinds of müsli, cereals, fruits, juices and local cheeses (to name a few). Rooms: mine was spacious with a lot of storage, clean and with a nice view. Beds were comfy. The common guest room was the cherry on top. I could wake up very early for my morning walk and have some coffee there even before the breakfast was served.

At the hotel, the rooms include a wardrobe.... The staff was very helpful upon check-in and even allowed me to check in a little earlier which was great because I could drop my luggage in the room and get out to experience the Gruyere Castle earlier than I thought. The view was incredible, it faced the mountains and Gruyere Castle. I was able to open the window and enjoy the air. It was a very clean and quiet room. Wish I stayed there more than a night.
