The hotel is located within a walking distance to the Guilin Railway station and most of the attractions in the city. The beds were very comfortable, room clean. Staff speak English and was very helpful with booking all attractions, taxis etc. Very good breakfast. You get great quality for low price. So far, one of the best places we have stayed in China. Highly recommended!

Positioned along Taohua River, Secret Courtyard Resort Hotel boasts a Chinese-style courtyard and is located in Lujia Village, just 2 km from downtown Guilin. The location of this hotel is well situated on the outskirts of Guilin city. It has several attractions within a walkable distance, such as Reed Flute Cave, but it is also a drivable within an hour and a half to major tourist sites like Longji rice terraces to the north and Yangshou county to the south. It is also within a cozy village, and we explored the local restaurants in the first day. The friendly owner of the establishment went above and beyond in service, responded through text quickly to arrange private tours to the places we wanted to go. We were picked up from the train station when we arrived at Guilin and transported back at the end of the trip. Breakfast options range from homemade local guilin rice noodles with fruit to a more western style option if preferred. Bed was comfortable with working wifi and AC. I was expecially impressed by the small things, how when we came back from a long day of touring the owner would always have fresh fruit waiting for us, how the towels and complimentary water would be refilled and waiting for us on our return, and how we were given a bag with snacks and other items for our trip home. If you are looking for a relaxed, local experience with good service that serves as a base to set off to see all Guilin has to offer, then I can't recommend this place enough.

It was exceptional - from the location, comfort, hospitality, quality and food. It was a dream from the start to finish and cannot believe I only stayed one night, I could spend the whole week here. Such lovely staff so helpful and accommodating and great English too. They helped us book a tour and even got us a discount as well. It was an amazing experience.

Offering river views and tour tickets for Guilin or Yangshuo, Riverside Inn Guilin is a tranquil hideaway ideally located in the centre of Guilin. The hotel staff were all extremely friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and tidy, and I loved its looks/vibe.

Surrounded amidst impressive Karst mountains, Yangshuo Mountain Retreat is located at the edge of Yulong River. Free WiFi access is available. Free parking space is offered. Kind and friendly staff willing to help with all requests. Attentive service. Absolutely gorgeous view of the river and right next to the walking trail. Even in winter, the view is stunning. Our room was warm, clean and cozy! We enjoyed the restaurant. It has plenty of vegetarian options that we enjoyed. Try the rice cakes with peanut, dried tofu and vegetables and the eggplant. They are not to be missed.

Li River Resort is situated on the west bank of Li River and offers a relaxing retreat in Chinese-style accommodation. This boutique hotel is professionally run, with excellent service provided by all staff. It's quiet and offered lovely views from my river balcony room. The rooms are beautifully decorated and I loved the decor and details in the room.

Wedged amongst the bamboo forests and rural farmlands, Riverside Retreat Hotel overlooks the beautiful water of the Li River. Such a beautiful room, very clean and spacious. The bed was really big and comfy, the terrace was spacious and the view to the mountains just felt amazing. Craig is such an amazing host, very careful and helpful, he told me everything I needed to know, shared and suggested places to visit, also kindly arranged the scooter. Couldn’t ask for more, everything was perfect. Thank you!

Right opposite Two Rivers and Four Lakes, Guilin Rong Lake Aroma Tea House, formerly Jing Guan Ming Lou Museum Hotel, is located in the city centre. Location is quiet but within walking distance to the attractions and main streets. The hotel is tastefully decorated with beautiful furniture and artwork. They also helped us organize the driver and tours/Li River Cruise. Everything was top notch. I would strongly recommend this place for anyone who wants to have a more relaxed experience in Guilin.

Set in Guilin, 1.3 km from Reed Flute Cave, Guilin Village Creek Inn offers accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Melody (at the reception) was really helpful and compensated for our inability to speak to mandarin. She organised all the tours for us and was very patient with us. We were upgraded for free and there is free tap water and breakfast included. The hotel is set in a really nice location which is tranquil, though you will need a bike or DiDi to get into town.
