Offering a shared swimming pool, Hotel Rural Xerete is located in the Jerte Valley, 20 km from Plasencia. The guest house offers rooms with air conditioning and free Wi-Fi access. This property exceeded our expectations. The swimming pool was generous in size, regularly cleaned and open much earlier than most pools in Spain. The garden was verdant, with many birds singing beautifully. Our host, Anna, seemed to always be available and very happy to help out with the smallest thing - and so friendly and kind! We were delighted to be in the countryside among the cherry orchards of the Jerte Valley (and just far enough from the relatively quiet road that the occasional traffic noise sunk into the background on the whole). The breakfasts were pleasant and varied each day with different types of fruit and cakes/croissants plus fresh orange juice, meats, cheese, toast, coffee - all beautifully and quickly presented. We also had dinner there on a couple of occasions - the food was also excellent and very filling with three courses at a very reasonable price. The wine was excellent. The room was spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden, the beds comfortable and everything very clean. Mosquito nets over the windows and doors protect from the mozzies around - bring insect bite cream and cover up if you eat outside in the evening. Glamping El Regajo Valle del Jerte, a property with a garden, is situated in El Torno, 23 km from Plaza Mayor, 30 km from Garganta de los Infiernos Natural Reserve, as well as 48 km from Monasterio de... We really had 3 specials days in the middle of nature (the weather was very good which helped of course). The host Daniel does not speak English but his helpfulness in combination with Google translate absolutely makes up for that, we really got good support for everything from restaurants over to visiting the area, which is very nice for hiking. Very nice room and bathroom. Breakfast is provided by the host the evening before based on what you ask per WhatsApp, so you can have breakfast on your private terrace when you want. For dinner you can choose to go to restaurant 10 min walking or ask (through WhatsApp Daniel) your meal to be delivered, simple menu but correct. There are shops in the neighborhood to buy wine etc. Very quiet, back to nature, type of feeling.

Apartamentos La Chaparrina del Jerte features accommodation situated in El Torno, 31 km from Garganta de los Infiernos Natural Reserve and 48 km from Monasterio de Yuste. Tourist apartments managed by very competent person. The apartment was clean, comfortable and we appreciated the welcome gifts. The large TV offered streaming and the kitchen was fully equipped. The modern apartment was excellent; recommended.
