From £56 per nightI knew what I would be getting. The cottages are really old and basic, and offer no luxuries. This is fine for me. What I needed was a place to sleep. I swam in lake Saimaa every morning before starting my working day. The location is beautiful. I chose this over centre hotel to have a chance to swim in the lake straight from bed. They had rental bikes available. Not very good ones, but worked for getting to centre swiftly.

We had an excellent stay here at this hotel. It is across the way from the train station, so it is very convenient. The hotel is large and the rooms are modern and clean. We had great breakfasts and also visited the hotel's sauna for an extra 15 euros. It had two hot tubs, a cold tub, sauna, steam room, and an "experience" shower not to be missed. A great hotel!

The ambience of the place is what I liked the most here. A bit away from the highway by the lake amid the picturesque landscape of Punkaharju, the resort is among the perfect places if you are looking for a place to unwind. The Punkaharju ridge and the nature trails in Lusto area are just a few kilometres away - you can either walk or rent a bike from the reception. Apart from this, one can participate in a number of leisurely activities. The resort also has an aquatic park and rope park close by. For food you can visit their restaurant or even cook in the kitchen if you are camping. Talking of camping, they have quite a large area for pitching tent or parking caravan. Other options to stay include cottages. I stayed in one of the small economy cottages with two beds. It was decently size with a refrigerator and a microwave a couple of chairs outside. Given the size of the cottage it does not include any closet but has a shelf to keep stuffs. Finally, before I forget, I need to mention the staff who were very helpful and always served with a smile.

Nice house (Paulala) in a beautiful location - the lake, the view, the forest, the mushrooms, the quietness. The cottage was equipped with all the necessary items for a nice vacation. Good sauna (wood heating), terrace right beside the lake, very helpful owner. Wonderful Weekend with family and definitely worth coming again!
