Our room had a door that opened onto the ramparts allowing us to walk around in the evening. It was off season so hardly any other guests there. Restaurant and bar were closed but a short drive put us at a recommended restaurant. The room was modern and comfy and quiet.

The hotel was also the local pub, bakery and cafe (although they were closed when we arrived) The owner was welcoming and allowed us to use his garage for our motorbike. The breakfast was continental style and plentiful. The hotel was a short distance from the river with some lovely walks.
