This property is just beautiful. The apartment is bright and airy and we loved the balcony which overlooked the chateaux and the pool area. It was lovely and clean with everything you need for a self catering holiday. La Redorte is an unspoilt French village and the area is very quiet so you do need a car but we loved the peace and tranquility. There’s a restaurant on the Canal du Midi - about a 15 minute walk - which was lovely both for the setting and the food. We will definitely return to the property for longer next time.

The owners of this hotel are the most lovely and welcoming people ever! They took care of us when we arrived at the hotel tired of a day of cycling and also booked for us the restaurant. They gave us a welcoming drink and wet towels and breakfast the next morning was great! The room was clean, quiet and very spacious, the bed was also very comfortable and king size. The swimming pool seemed nice and clean too but it was to windy to swim while we were there. I 100% recommend this hotel for your stay on the Canal du Midi!

The apartment was spacious, comfortable and clean. The location is excellent if you are exploring the canal du midi. Natalie is an excellent hostess; very easy to contact, checkin and checkout were very efficient. The characterful decor makes the accommodation unique and memorable. Natalie has provided so many thoughtful extras to make your stay pleasant . We enjoyed a very nice breakfast and we loved her homemade products. We had a great stay and would be very happy to stay here again.

Check in was easy using broken French and English. There are plenty of Parking spaces, so that was easy. There are many shops nearby to buy food, utensils and clothes. There was hot water in the sink and shower when I wanted it. The hotel was on a quiet side road near to the airport and access to all routes around Carcassonne. Only about 2-3Km to the Citadel SW of the Aude, and the Rail station and Canal du Midi in the "New City" on the NW bank of the Aude.

The hotel is located in a lovely spot, right next to the Canal du Midi in Castelnaudary. It is conveniently located for pedestrian as well as bicycle access to this charming town. The room and facilities were well kept. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, which normally does not matter, because there are fans and easy to open windows. The hotel was the only place where we stayed that still had a bidet, which was charming. The breakfast was delicious and generous.

If you are hiring a boat for a canal trip up the Canal du Midi I could not think of a better location. The property is a few minutes from France Afloat which we hired the boat. If fact I am not sure how we would have managed to provision the boat if we had not stayed at this property as it was a relatively short 15mn walk to the local supermarket, which we visited 3 times (we could not find any taxis operating or bus service)/

Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. We had a great stay and would be very happy to stay here again.

The hotel was very well located for our bike trip along Canal du Midi. Possibility to park the bikes inside overnight and we appreciated the reservation in the restaurant which is awesome - probably the best we have had during our two weeks vacation (with lots of great restaurants). The room itself was very spacious and with nice self-constructed furniture, basic but with everything you might need.

The apartment had 2 large double bedrooms(1 had a shower in, not a typical eb suite lay out). Small kitchen. Large dining and sitting area(we did not use as were out exploring!) Plenty of air conditioning fans situated around the apartment ( which was appreciated as it was very warm when we were there) Great location. Less than 10 mins walk to the square and 3 mins to the canal du midi.

Dirk and his wife run this beautiful hotel. With so many period features, it is elegance personified. The rooms are wonderful, and one almost expects to meet Hercule Poirot on the beautiful spiral staircase. Breakfast on the terrace was really good. We were cycling the Canal du Midi and found the hotel really cyclist friendly. Dirk, thank you for a fantastic experience.

Great location smack bang next to the canal du midi cycling route The gracious host thought about everything. The apartment even has a first aid kit Recently refurbished Great bike space right next to the apartment easy check in and check out There is a supermarket 200 m away - well stocked

The apartment is cosy and the bed confortable. I was pleased whith the breakfast which is generous and the loggia were I enjoyed my diner. I could park my bike in the courtyard which is secure. I found the location calm and close to the Canal du Midi. The hosts are wellcoming. I recommend.

Hostess was an extremely nice person. Hotel has UNESCO listing being part of the Canal du Midi and is therefore very old and with that it has it's limitations. The hostess has performed an amazing array of improvements herself to make this establishment comfortable and homely.

A comfortable and immaculate ground floor apartment, situated a few minutes away from the Place Carnot - the centre of Bastide with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants to explore in the immediate vicinity. The Medieval Cite, Canal du Midi and railway station are all walkable.

Nice and close to the canal du midi, easy to find while cycling. Close enough to “old town” to walk. Safely parked bikes in car garage for free, although we did get lost getting out as the lights turned off. Bed was comfy, hotel was quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Very nice and spacious apartment with nice and terrace and garden. Very well equipped, washing machine, TV, dishwasher, etc, all work fine. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The place and neighbourhood are nice and quiet. Just a few hundreds meters from Canal du Midi.

We were biking the canal du midi and overnighted here. We absolutely loved our stay. The hosts are so kind and genuine. They were ready to help and facilitate our stay. The swimming pool is a plus! Best Breakfast in South France!!!!! Thankful for this beautiful experience!

Clean, modern and well set up. Amazing views of city from our room (see pic). Close to transportation (metro and train station) and about 15min to center of town. Right next to Canal du Midi. Great Wifi. Free coffee from Reception area 24/7.

Breakfast was exceptional and we loved the charm and character of the hotel and the owners’ warm welcome. A short walk to Canal du Midi, small playground for kids outside and some toys etc available inside all positives.
