We stayed 2 nights here on the way to the south of France with our 8, 5, and 3 year old The hotel staff could not have been more helpful. The room was amazing, the nicest bed, view… free Avene toiletries. Our car had broken down en route and the staff went above and beyond to help us. We felt spoilt by the hotel facilities - food was healthy but delicious… breakfast was full of treats for the kids We didn’t use the kids club but we did giant chess, mini golf. The hotel was calm and tranquil, our children are well behaved and I’m glad they experienced such a beautiful stay. Some reviews mention the hotel is ugly, I didn’t feel this at all, it was high quality, clean, modern and extremely comfortable - we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We had family room with sofa bed (very comfy) and they put a camp bed in Highly recommend, we would definitely return - the only welcome addition would have been a spa/be able to have a massage (after the stressful journey!) and also the restaurant was booked up for dinner both nights, it would have been good if hotel guests were contacted in advance to be made aware of this, and given the opportunity to book, but the restaurant just outside the hotel ground by the bridge was great, lovely welcoming owners. Thank you to all the wonderful staff of the hotel, especially reception Liz & Tom Robinson

We came as part of our honeymoon trip to France and they upgraded our room to one of the better suites. This was a great surprise! The property and surrounding area was scenic and the restaurant was amazing as well.

Beautiful location and castle, with friendly staff. This historic monument is nestled on a mountain side next to a village and is well run by a dedicated group of staff from front desk to kitchen. Can only recommend! Only downside during our stay was the heatwave that week, not the hotels fault of course but may be the additional provision of coolers/fan can be recommended in future. :)
