Located in Savines-le-Lac, surrounded by Écrins National Park, this hotel is facing Lake Serre-Ponçon and has panoramic views of the mountains or the lake and free Wi-Fi access. The hosts were both lovely and very helpful. Our motorbikes were stored safely in their garage. The room was more than comfortable and the views were amazing. Breakfast was great. Look forward to staying again.

Chateau de Picomtal is set in a renovated 14th to 16th century castle overlooking the Serre-Ponçon lake, in the Hautes-Alpes. The Chateau was beautiful- it was the high light of our trip to France Sharon and Jacque were amazing hosts- she took so much time to tell us places to explore in the area- and the 2 dinners she reserved for us were superb

The 3-star Logis - Hotel De La Mairie is located in the pedestrian centre of Embrun. Hotel very beautiful, in a central place of embrun. Room are clean and nice, the owner very kind. It's possible to park a motorcycle in a private box (under payment) just apart of the hotel. We didn't do a breakfast, but I saw the buffet, there was a lot of food!.

Le Chalvet, located in Ecrins National Park, is a countryside hotel offering a garden and terrace with valley views. There are a range of comfortable guest rooms, some accommodating up to 4 guests. Copious breakfast laid out on the table for us, more than we could eat!

Hotel la Robeyere BW Signature Collection is set in an 18th century building in Embrun, 1.6 km from Serre-Ponçon Lake. The hotel offers free WiFi and an elegant décor. This place is not just awesome. This place has some sort of magical vibe to it. We came here late, from the busy touristy south of France, and was met by the kindest receptionist to date. The staff of this hotel turned this one night stay into something fantastic. So chill, with a very exclusive feeling. We had breakfast on the terrace with the stunning views of the surrounding mountain's. At checkout, i had to ask whether this was in fact a 4 or 5-star hotel. He said they were only 4 - but the staff definitely gave us a 5-star experience.

Les Peupliers is located in Baratier, a small village near Les Orres ski resort in the Hautes-Alpes. Guests have access to the outdoor swimming pool and spa with a hot tub, sauna and hammam. the staff is super friendly we had dinner twice and the food was amazing! the rooms are clean with super comfy beds

Hôtel & Spa Ax Hôtel is located in Chorges in Hautes-Alpes, 15 km from Gap, an 8-minute drive from Lake Serre-Ponçon and at a 20-minute drive from Reallon Ski Resort and 38 km from Orcière. Pleasant room, good ensuite. Good swimming pool. Friendly staff. Food ok.

Hotel Le Lac is located in a peaceful setting, just outside the city centre of Embrun. It is close to a lake that has a beach and recreational area. Great hotel, very nicely finished and nice modern room. Spa was a lovely extra. 5 mins walk from plan d'eau activity area with nice walks round the lake. Half hour walk to town centre.

Situated in Le Lauzet-Ubaye, 15 km from Pra-Loup, Le Relais du Lac boasts a terrace and views of the mountains. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. There is a gift shop at the property. The gentleman who checked me in and and made sure I ate at such a late hour and after a very difficult motorcycle travel should be given the medal of honor.
