Hotel in Castres
The Renaissance is housed in a 17th-century mansion in central Castres. It offers air-conditioned rooms with traditional and antique furnishings. Each room also has a private bathroom and TV. I found the description of this hotel so interesting that I decided to go out of my way to stay here instead of continuing on to Carcassone. I had a huge room in Renaissance style with so many features and special ornamentation from that era. It was like spending the night in a museum of decorative arts. The hotel staff speak perfect English and we're kind enough to bring my bags to the room. The location is easy to find with GPS. It's not a very large city and there's plenty of free parking within convenient walking distance although the hotel does offer valet parking for a fee. This overnight was one of the highlights of my trip.

Hotel Europe is located in the historic heart of Castres and 67 km from Carcassonne. This 17th-century townhouse has a mix of Baroque, Italian and Spanish architecture, and free Wi-Fi access. What an interesting little hotel. Every inch is fascinating and the hotel is a destination in itself. My room was modern with all amenities you could want or need. One entire wall with a mural of Venice (which bears some resemblance to the homes on the canal in Castres). I believe every room is different but I suspect equally charming. The service was great, I had trouble finding the hotel and they actually came out to find me when I was stuck down the street and didn’t know how to turn my car around :). Highly recommend a stay here!

Offering a brasserie open 7 days a week and a bar, Alchimy is located in the centre of Albi. Free WiFi access is available in the bedrooms. Albi Train Station is 1.5 km away. One of the nicest hotel stays we’ve ever had. From the friendly staff to the beautifully appointed very large room to the tasty breakfasts, we were very impressed. There’s much to be said for a family run hotel as opposed to the big chains.

L’Ancienne Auberge dates from the 17th century and is located 2 km from the National Forest of Grésigne, you will be welcomed there by a couple of hoteliers Greg and Sophie. The L'Ancienne Auberge was a lovely place in the centre of the beautiful little town of Puicelsi. Sophie and Greg were perfect hosts with delightful personalities. They made us feel welcome and were very accommodating when we arrived with our electric bikes. Our room was spacious, clean and had a breathtaking view of the surrounding valley. Greg was a fantastic chef and we very much enjoyed our meals there as well as the whole experience staying at the L'Ancienne Auberge!

Located in Fiac, 34 km from Castres Exhibition Centre, Château de Fiac - Luxurious Hôtel & Spa provides accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared... SO happy to discover this gem of a new hotel near me in the Tarn. A gorgeous country chateau in the rolling French countryside near to Toulouse that has been converted into a sensational boutique hotel. There are lots of boutique hotels popping up in the area but none with a Spa like this! We had the most sensational suite with a huge terrace overlooking the gardens and the countyside, with the snowcapped Pyrenees in the distance. The staff were super friendly, the restaurant was delicious and very well priced for a hotel, and the Spa was exceptional. There is no Spa like this anywhere in the area. A real amount of love and attention has been made by the owners Gordon and Danielle Oldham (of Pavilion Hotels - he is English, she is French from the local area) to make this a perfect French retreat. I have already booked a Spa day in two weeks time!

Located in Puylaurens, this hotel is composed of 3 buildings, built from the 13th-century to the 18th-century. It offers an outdoor pool and a terrace with panoramic views over the countryside. we had a great night at the Cap de Castel. Stunning views across the countryside, nice big bedroom with bid en-suite bathroom all very clean and tidy. And to top it all a fantastic meal in the restaurant that was absolutely amazing.

The host is really welcoming and the house is really nice and confortable. The view over the old Albi is outstanding and you are only minutes walk from it.

What a wonderful property and such a charming host! Isabelle left nothing to be desired at this modern, renovated home. Isabelle greeted us warmly in the sitting room with delicious apple juice while she provided information on local activities. Breakfast the next morning was a delightful selection of her own homemade cakes, pastries, waffles and jams. Convenient parking was provided next the house. I highly recommend staying at this lovely property.
