Formerly called The Castle Arms, The newly refurbished Mey Hotel is a 19th-century coaching inn and Visit Scotland award winning hotel just 8 miles from John O'Groats, in the village of Mey. We stayed for one night during our highland adventure, The hosts were fantastic, very welcoming, we had a very nice evening meal and breakfast was perfect. We would certainly recommend to anyone driving the north coast. And the local beers were very nice indeed

On the banks of the River Thurso in the village of Halkirk, this hotel is a 10-minute drive from Thurso town centre. It is built from Caithness stone, and has free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. A very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Will most definitely stay here again
