Situated in the picturesque village of Inkpen, the Crown and Garter is a traditional English pub with stylish rooms, a restaurant and bakery. It opens onto a lovely garden. Amazing inn refurbished to a very high standard. The beds were super comfortable and I loved their courtyard. The entire place was beautiful and I could spend hours just sitting there. Food was great the inn - delicious and well cooked. However it would be good to add more options to the breakfast.

Ben and Cody are the loveliest couple- both have a long background in the hotel business. They know what they're doing and it shows. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The place was quiet as could be. The 2 mile walk to the standing stones was beautiful and became part of the adventure. Cody and Ben even came to pick us up after both of our days in Avebury. Breakfasts were lavish, fresh and cooked to perfection. Their little girl was adorable and warmed our hearts. Even their dog Maya is a sweetheart. When we left, they gave us a bag of goodies to take for our journey. Such kind and considerate people. We would come back to stay in a heartbeat. I really can’t recommend Elderbrook House strongly enough. And remember, the pub at Elderbrook House will open shortly.

I went to Ramsbury for a family funeral. I never knew The Bell provided accommodation before, and its location was just perfect. The twin bedroom was nicely decorated, tidy and spotless. Although the restuarant is downstairs, one hardly heard any noise at all. The shower was strong and hot, the amenties were in order, the bed was very comfortable. I had a very good sleep. The continental breakfast was good.
