Where to start? The greeting on reception was fabulous - such a warm welcome and very kindly, an upgrade of both our rooms for which we were very grateful indeed. The hotel is fabulous for those who are less mobile, with slopes and swing doors in the general areas. My mother uses a wheelchair and was amazed at the quality of the disabled bathroom in the room - the best we had seen, so we can definitely recommend the hotel to wheelchair users or those who avoid steps. The rooms are huge and very clean, the beds comfortable - firm with some give. We had an excellent dinner with superb service. Fabulous wines; not just their own, but a global selection. A real treat! Breakfast consists of a lovely buffet but also a comprehensive menu. Again, excellent service. I cannot recommend the Llanerch Vineyard Hotel highly enough. It is a beautiful place with a great team, and fantastic value for money.

On the outskirts of Cardiff, The Bear, Cowbridge is situated in the picturesque market town of Cowbridge, 25 minutes from Cardiff Airport and with good access to the M4 motorway. Friendly staff and a good sized room. Facilities great too.

The Mount Rooms is set in Barry, 6 km from Penmark Castle and 6 km from Fonmon Castle. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Free private parking is available on site on a first come, first serve basis. The staff were extremely helpful, going above and beyond to help make the surprise I had planned work.

Situated in the beautiful Welsh countryside, Celtic International Hotel is less than a mile away from Cardiff International Airport. The staff is incredible! They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and cared for.

Haveli Hotel is situated within the heart of the business parks of Pontyclun, within 15 minutes’ drive of both Cardiff and Swansea. I have been stopping here every year for the past 6years around the same time for the autumn internationals it a good standard budget hotel close to railway 20min walk for a 20min train ride to Cardiff meaning I don't have to drive to Cardiff , and they are well accomodating I call up at 21:50 to say that we are returning later than expected and if there was any chance of food and the wait for us and cook a meal for us, what more can you ask for. Défi recommended . Especially for those that don't want to pay ridiculous price .

In 22 acres of scenic grounds. Just off the M4, the hotel is surrounded by Mid Glamorgan countryside. The charming bedrooms at Miskin Manor Hotel boast period features and elegant decor. We love this hotel. We have stayed here four times in the last 14 years. It is a beautiful, well maintained period building with spectacular gardens/grounds. One of the earliest parts of the hotel was built in the 10th century. There is a flawless old fireplace in one of the hospitality rooms. And many , many other exquisite genuine historical architectural details.

This large Victorian building has character. 40 minutes from Cardiff city centre and 20 minutes from Cardiff International Airport, and less than 2 miles from the beach. Once we got into the hotel the staff was helpful and friendly. We had checked in early as we were going to a festival near by and they let us put our bags in one of the rooms until the rest were ready.Our rooms where clean and a good size aswell as the bathroom. We went into the bar in the night and the locals were friendly and made us welcome.
