Brynx Haven completely exceeded all my expectations and was by was by far one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Ghana. Good location, superb services, and helpful staff. The complimentary bottle of wine was such a nice touch. The modern room was clean and well equipped and the bed the most comfortable I've ever slept in. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

Cape Coast
Situated in Cape Coast, 8.8 km from Cape Coast Castle, Paradise Ocean Resort features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. It was quiet, and had a beautiful view. The staff, especially the owner Joseph, were fantastic. Joseph lived in England for 30+ years so it was easy to speak English with him. He was cheerful and incredibly helpful suggesting sightseeing places, arranging taxis, explaining how to get to the next town etc. Joseph even accompanied me for a full day visiting the local fishing village and then taking a 3km canoe ride up the lagoon to another village. The room was great. it had a fan, air-con, louvred windows and screens, a fridge, TV, and hot water with a bath and shower. The food was good, but it takes a little time like all the restaurants I’ve experienced in Ghana. I think it is helpful to tell Linda what you want an hour or two in advance. The taxi into Cape Coast was 50 cidies, but you could walk 1 km and take a shared taxi for 5 c. I found it fairly easy to get around. I highly recommend walking down the beach to the east and first watch 60-70 people building fish boats about 200 m from the hotel. Then go 1km further to the fishing village and watch most of villagers pulling in nets from 800 m out. They’ll be singing together as they haul the net in. Then if you want hire someone 50 meters behind the village you can take a canoe for 40 c and travel up the lagoon for 3km and be escorted to another village and back. I had a pretty amazing time here…

One day trip is enough to see Cape Coast with it's three most important places to visit. Those are the Cape Coast Castle, the Elmina Castle and the Kakum Rain Forest. However, hotels are not very comfortable though pricey.
It was very relaxing moment and the guide we had was very knowledgeable and humorous . It was sad to learn about slaves and being there gave best understanding of what was going on. It was very emotional moment and changed my mind that I should not look down on anyone. The Cape Coast Castle is good and should be preserved for future generations,it's best idea to have it as a Tourist resort. The people were very friendly. The food was nice.
The beaches and fishing villages along the shore are a must see sight. Then comes Cape Coast Castle, of course - too well known to be described in detail but worth every cedi you pay to visit it (40 for foreign tourists). The town itself is worth a stroll too. We dined at Kokodo Restaurant which is just as good as any other eatery in Ghana and has a nice location on a hill. They serve a relatively rich variety of Ghanaian herbal liqueurs.
Cape Coast has a lovely beach and the castle is the only thing there to see, it is very expensive travelling around by taxi if don't barter the fare. But it's a small town so you can walk around the area. There are no restaurants so be prepared to eat locally.
Cape Coast town is pleasant enough with some interesting remnants of its historical past, sadly like so many other places around the world It suffers from waste pollution and it is having a huge impact. Ghana needs to wake up to this fact as it will effect tourism.
The People are friendly. Our tour guides during the visit to Cape coast castle, Elmina castle and canopy walk at Kakum park were wonderful. The tour was educative and fun filled
Visited Cape coast castle on our journey to Takoradi. Visited KankumPark. Meal were ordered and ate at Hans Hotel.
Breakfast was delicious and always on time. This boutique hotel is a premier place to stay in Cape Coast. The Property Manager and the entire staff are very courteous and professional. With the stress of work & life, the Brynx Haven was so relaxing and provided the stress relief I needed. I would highly recommend to my family and friends...its beautiful. It seriously felt like paradise. Thank you to Agnes and the entire staff.
Cape Coast
Great location, close to everything in Cape Coast. Friendly mother + daughter team looking after the place in the daytime keeping everything. There’s also a security guy around at night, so it feels really safe. All were waiting to help us with luggage when we arrived even though it was quite late. The owner was really responsive to calls on how to get there and helpful at all times :)
