We checked out another lodge close by, but decided to go with Bintang because the rooms overlook the sea- which is so romantic & calming. We even got beautiful souvenirs from their shop! Great stay!

This was a great experience. We had a lovely wood house nestled in a garden full of palms, birds and monkeys. The whole site is situated at the edge of a creek with mangroves. There are interesting activities and excursions, and when you come back you can take a swim in the salty and warm creek water. Very recreative, we did it every day at high tide. Breakfast is o.k. (try the local bush tea!), lunch and dinner are very good. The shuttle service to the airport (1.5 hours) is easy to be arranged. But the best of all is the ramarkable staff at AbCa's. Everyone is so polite and courteous. Thank you guys for everything, we loved to have a little chit-chat with you now and then!

Absolutely immersive in wild life, way away from the common, prices surprisingly reasonable considering the distance from Dakar. I doubted very much if it was worth traveling that far, arriving from Saly and Dakar, but after being there, my joy compensated it all

Great breakfast, lunch and dinner (also vegetarian if desired). The huts are large and comfortable including large mosquito nets. All huts are solar powered. ps. They have German Beer and Wine from South Africa :)

From the moment you arrive. The staff are exceptional and cannot do enough for you, always with a smile. The main man Shariff is absolutely fantastic and went out of his way to ensure our stay was perfect.

Situated in Missira, 6.6 km from Fathala Wildlife Reserve, Les Fromagers features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. The hotel is located in a beautiful village next to a lake and the oldest tree in this region (it's very impressive to see). We stayed at les Fromagers because we wanted to visit the Fathala Wild life reserve that is close by. On our arrival we found out that there are so many other activities to do like going fishing, watching crocodiles, visiting the islands etc. The owner of the place are very friendly and helpful. We experienced their great hospitality and felt very comfortable during our stay. I can recommend you also to try out their restaurant, since you get very tasty seafood there, freshly caught by the local fisherman. We will definitely visit again, when we are in Senegal.

Boasting pool views, B & B Mariamacounda offers accommodation with pool with a view, a garden and a bar, around 23 km from Fathala Wildlife Reserve. We really liked the B&B in general but were especially impressed with the excursions that were offered. David gave us a guided boat tour where we visited the small nearby island towns of Sipo and Missirah and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Jenny was also very helpful with the logistics (especially because I don't speak French!) and helping me organise our time in Senegal. El Hadj is their taxi driver and we organised pretty much our whole trip throughout Senegal with him - he was fantastic. And there are a few restaurants nearby with delicious food. The breakfast offered at the B&B was delicious. Thank you!
