Hotel in Rio Dulce
In the Rio Dulce river near a 16th century castle the Tortugal Boutique River Lodge peninsula is bathed by almost constant on shore breezes providing a cool and refreshing place. The manager - Angela - is incredible! A true hospitality professional (rare in Central America!) & excellent travel advice. She the reason our stay was as amazing as it was! The hotel itself is beautiful, We stayed in the "Enchanted Cottage", which was just lovely. The entire property has charming board walks and paths. The restaurant was ideal - delicious menu!

Nanajuana Río Dulce has a restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and bar in Río Dulce. Among the various facilities of this property are a shared lounge, a garden and barbecue facilities.... The hotel is actually much nicer than the photos. Our room was upgraded and we were given an amazing room right next to the water and marina. The pool is large and very clean, And the food at the restaurant was excellent, really good quality, so although a little more expensive than in some places, it was definitely worth it.

Beautiful place. There were some mosquitoes, but that's obvious if you book a house in such a place. And the location is great.

The hotel is set along the shores of the Rio Dulce, but the rooms are tucked into the jungle/finca, giving guests the best of both the river and the surrounding environment. The rooms were emaculate, the staff was incredibly personable, and the hotel is situated perfectly; just outside of the busy city, but close enough to get there for meals/drinks. Also, the access to free kayaks allows for wonderful morning adventures, where we were lucky enough to spot two manatees breaching for air.
Lovely hotel with comfortable and well sized rooms. The shower was hot and had good pressure - this has been pretty much impossible for us to find in Guatemala so far so a real plus point! The staff were very helpful and friendly, making sure we made our early bus from the town (the hotel is a short boat ride away from the main town centre of Rio Dulce - no bad thing as we weren't impressed with the town). The food in the restaurant was very tasty.
Hotelito perdido is a little gem in the jungle of Rio Dulce. Very thoughtful and in line with the enviorement. You can swim in the river, do some tours or just hang out and relax. The staff is really friendly and nice, and they help you with everything. And the best food I have eaten in a long time. Their cooks are amazing and all the meals are really thought through and original. Really enjoyed my stay there.
Rio Dulce
Hotel Casa Perico is a great place to relax. In the middle of nature, yet very comfortable. Friendly staff who prepare fine meals. The hotel is only accessible by boat. You can go to the Sundog restaurant in Rio Dulce. Tell the bar that you want to go to the hotel. Then a free shuttle will be organised. The boat trip takes 5-10 minutes. There is free canoe rental, which I enjoyed very much.
Rio Dulce
Beautiful setting fitting into environment perfectly Wonderful property with lots of varied areas to sit, do yoga, swim, kayak, etc Exceptional food at very good prices - lots of variety, great flavours, consistency Frequent water shuttles into town at no cost Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff Overall perhaps the best eco hotel in Rio Dulce….a MUST STAY…you won’t be disappointed
Nice staff and room! It is noisy die to the road but if you live in the city it is the same amount of noise. We were so tired from our trip from Mexico city and went straight to Rio dulce it was easy for us to fall a sleep Also pick up (collectivo/public boat) from the hotel to Livingstone and other river lodges
Great location off the main Rio Dulce, with a great central relaxing area. Good range of activities on offer, including kayaking, walking and swimming, as well as a number of paid walks and visits. Take the hotel’s own launch from Rio Dulce, rather than the public launch, as it is better value and quicker.
Rio Dulce
I enjoyed my stay in the hostel! I checked in at 11.30 pm and that was no problem at all. The room and bathroom were very clean, the wifi was decent enough to get some work done and Flor even warmed up my breakfast after my meeting ended. Would recommend it if you stay the night in Rio Dulce town!
