The Lake House was amazing, and far exceeded our expectations. The house was clean, VERY well stocked, had a Premium DeLongi super-automatic coffee machine, and the hot tub was perfect. We sat outside, both in the hot tub, and on the back deck, for hours watching the Northern Lights. This was the absolute best night of our trip.

This property is near Akranes Harbour and 1.3 km from Akranes Museum Centre. It offers a pretty, hedged garden and a large, furnished terrace. Wi-Fi and parking are free. I loved every bit of my stay here

Bard Cottage has spoiled me for the rest of my trip - it‘s the coziest cabin one could imagine. Surrounded by trees and a little garden it is completely secluded and a perfect get-away. Just a 10min drive from Borgarnes makes it perfect to both exploring the region and Snæfellsness peninsula as well as a stop before heading north or westwards. It comes with a perfectly and fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and a private hot tub. Furthermore it comes with all the little details that add up to a wholesome experience and make it special - a cozy sitting area and huge window front to observe the outside world and maybe Auroras while being all warm and tucked inside. There’s a Yoga mat for use, books, a TV - in short, Bard Cottage really feels like a home away. :) The hosts provided me with lots of valuable tips, where always reachable and provided me with great solution during the coldwave that hit during my stay. 100% recommend to stay, I‘ll definitely come back :)

Boasting garden views, Móar Cottage provides accommodation with patio, around 43 km from Hallgrímskirkja Church. The property has mountain and lake views, and is 43 km from The Pearl. Our little cottage turned out to be bigger on the inside than the outside! It had everything we needed, including an amazing view of the erupting volcano across the bay. It was clean, well appointed and beautifully situated. We had a lovely visit from Tata the dog, so sweet. It was just 40 mins from Reykjavik and easy to commute. We would highly recommend Moar cottages.
