Giovanni and his family were so welcoming when we arrived at their cute b&b in the mountains above castiglione di garfagnana; it’s very much a family home so don’t expect a sterile hotel atmosphere! Our room was traditional (in line with the property) and spotless. We were able to walk 15min down the hill to the village for dinner in the osteria which was lovely. Breakfast was fantastic, so many homemade cakes, coffee, juice, bread, cookies.. the list goes on! It is excellent value for money and the hosts are so kind, we loved our stay!

Everything was perfect! The apartment is a peaceful little gem with a big terrace and a beautiful mountain view. The kitchen is well equipped and the bed is super comfortable. The location is very convenient, Barga city centre can be easily reached with a 5 minutes walk and it's a good base to reach many trails and attractions in Garfagnana. The hosts, Mairi and Fabio, are incredibly nice and gave us recommendations for restaurants and things to do. We'll definitely go back when visiting Garfagnana again!

Beautiful and quiet agriturismo in the heart of Garfagnana. The apartment, located high up on the property, is very spacious and with a wonderful view on the surrounding hills and mountains. Franca is an extremely kind and helpful host. Highly recommend to relax and explore the Garfagnana area.

Traditional family run hotel, thermal pool, clean rooms with air conditioning. Good breakfast, evening meal in the restaurant was great value.

Our room was in a separate building with its own terrace. We sat outside after we arrived and enjoyed the beautiful view and our surroundings. There is a mini fridge in the room with an assortment of cold drinks to purchase at a low cost. Breakfast in the morning had a good selection to choose from. Overall an excellent place to stay.

Fantastic accommodation with superb staff who met our wishes and needs in every way. The surroundings were fabulous.

Wonderful….very hospitable friendly and accommodating …..great hosts Linda and Silvia .The location speaks for itself with an excellent restaurant /pool with extraordinary vistas …accommodation superb…We as a family of four booked two cabins which were excellent with all the facilities required….We would highly recommend Agriturismo Summer !

Charming structure, clean, well-positioned, quaint

Such a wonderful place with a great history and engaged people that work there. We all loved it very much. The pool was warm at the beginning of June, the chess playground was a wonderful idea, we ejoyed playing very much. The breakfast was the best we had during our two weeks trip in Italy. The surroundings, animals, nature, views are amazing. It was great that we could have lunch and dinners at the place and not to leave the farm not for a moment. I hope we will come back.

SPECTACULAR! I am in this business myself and can only say that quality of hospitality is simply wonderful. Simona and her family were gracious, totally respected our space yet were completely available immediately for any need. The grounds are simply spectacular and so well cared for, the quality of a super five star accommodation.

My wife and I spent a fantastic week at Agriturismo Ai frati. The host, Luigi, and all the staff are kind, helpful, and friendly - we felt very welcome and extremely well cared for. The place and its surroundings are charming and peaceful. The room and other spaces of the old monastery have a great atmosphere, are carefully renovated and sparkling clean. The pool is beautifully located and set in an environment, and large enough for a good swim. The breakfast is delicious (and the optional dinners that can be arranged are excellent). The place is also a great basis for trips to surrounding towns and villages and hikes/bike rides in the Apuan Alps. For us, Agriturismo Ai frati is a special place, and we hope we will be able to return there for a holiday someday.

Breathtaking views!!! Very nice and helpfull owners, very clean room as well as the swimming pool and all the area around. Comfortable beds. Everything you need in the kitchen. All over quiet place, perfect for relaxing holidays.

The views are amazing. The food was gorgeous and homemade. We love the way the food was so fresh and from the local area. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. And we really loved Dea the dog. We can’t wait to go back to the property 😊
