The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I was immediately taken in by the tranquil atmosphere of the resort. The lush gardens, wooden bungalows, and beautiful views of the Mekong River made me feel like I was in paradise. The bungalows at Mekong Bird Resort Strung Treng are designed to blend in with the natural surroundings, providing a comfortable yet rustic experience. Each bungalow is equipped with all the necessary amenities including a comfortable bed, a private bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the river. As I settled into my bungalow, I couldn't help but appreciate how well-maintained and clean everything was. The resort truly takes pride in providing its guests with a comfortable and pleasant stay. One of the highlights of my trip was the boat tour on the Mekong River. The resort offers both private and group boat tours that take you on a journey through some of the most scenic areas of the river. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, pointing out different bird species and sharing interesting facts about the local culture and history. We also had the opportunity to visit a nearby floating village where we got to interact with the locals and learn about their way of life.

Featuring free WiFi, Pomelo Restaurant and Guesthouse's Fishermen Bungalow & A Tammarine Bungalow River Front is peacefully situated in Don Khon island. We had a wonderful time at Tan's place. He is an amazing host, and the bungalow is overlooking the Mekong. There's plenty to do for people who love nature. The accommodation is super simple yet comfortable and clean. There is a partner restaurant nearby with a great view and the food is yummy! We got to know Tan, and he has many stories to tell; lots of laughs and interesting facts about the area. Coffee and breakfast is 'absolutely amazing' and SUNSET is phenomenal! <3

Pomelo Restaurant and Guesthouse- Serene Bliss, Life in the Tranquil Southend of Laos offers a quiet and relaxing stay in Don Khone Island. I’ve loved everything about this stay. The peace at Pomelo is unmatched, the staff is beyond nice. food was great, the room was perfectly clean and so beautiful. I can not recommend enough, looking forward to go back:)

With river views, Chanhthida Riverside Guesthouse and The River Front Restaurant is set in Ban Khon and has a restaurant and a housekeeping service. The position of the place is perfect to discover the island. The person that handles the property is amazing, struggling a little bit with the English but he will definitely try to help you with your questions. The food is amazing as well and the restaurant is on the river, perfect for enjoying a nice breakfast!

Located in Ban Donsôm in the Champasak region, Souksanh Guesthouse features a balcony and river views. The accommodation is non-smoking. The only reason I don't rate it with a 1 is because it's cheap. Nothing else good to say about our experience.
