The hotel staff were lovely: very helpful, friendly and attentive to our needs. It is a pleasure to meet people so close and kind. The food and the breakfast are delicious and very varied. The spectacular leisure offer: swimming pool, private and shared jacuzzi in the pool, bowling alley, billiards ... we will repeat without a doubt!

Located in Sneek, Hotel Markt23 features a terrace, restaurant, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. Beautiful old listed building, refurbished recently in great style. Huge bedroom with view over the marketplace, warm and quiet. Lovely big bathroom. Great restaurant downstairs with very welcoming staff. Delicious food.

Stadslogement Hoogend features free WiFi throughout the property and rooms with air conditioning in Sneek. My wife's father had been born and spent his early years in Sneek before emigrating to South Africa in 1946 as a young man. In his lounge at home he had a picture of the Sneek Waterpoort that my wife grew up seeing every day. The sole reason for the trip was for her to see where he had grown up, and we wanted a hotel that had a view of the iconic Waterpoort. We were not disappointed! The hotel is 50m from the poort and the room was beautiful! Contemporary furnishings, very clean, with the most magnificent view of the Waterpoort and the town from the window and the balcony. Marcel, the owner and person we communicated with, was very helpful and gave us all the access information (security codes) we needed to get into the property. He also gave us some good recommendations for dinner (De Walrus Grand Cafe- excellent!) and breakfast (Royaal Belegd - also excellent and right next door to the hotel). He sent us a text with all the above information after we had spoken. We happened to meet him the next morning at the hotel and we chatted for a bit - a lovely man. We both enjoyed our stay at Hotel Hoogend and would highly reccommend it.
