Less than 20 kilometres from Amsterdam, you will find our cosy three-star hotel in the old centre of the picturesque Zuiderzee town of Edam. I loved the authentic appearance of the historic property. Loved the location having the boat repair and maintenance across the canal from our room. The staff were happy to be of help with anything at all. The food is gourmet 5* on the dinner menu. No hot items for breakfast but everything for continental is covered, fresh and appealing. We appreciated ground floor easy access room. The shower was good pressure and hot. Location in the town was excellent and just a short walk to the main square.

Enkhuizen is a fabulous small town right on the IJsselmeer and this is an excellent hotel right in the city center - close to and well within walking distance to all the beautiful sights. Above that the hotel is exceptionally clean and feels like it was renovated quite thoroughly recently. This leads to very modern rooms and a nice atmosphere - only surpassed by the friendly staff.

The Hotel Spaander is a place to fall in love with. The artpieces skattered on the walls of the old hotel tell the history of this place but also the history of Volendam. This place is a Gem. Not really in the city center and behind outdoor activity places so you didn't expect much but the hotel was great. New and relatively modern and right on the beach. The room was fine, the breakfast had a super selection. And I I felt for the first time on our trip that the price was right. - I can also recommend the restaurant right across the way. - The food was really tasty.
