We had a room in a house on a hill in the forest overlooking the sea. Lying in the hammock was really relaxing. Birds singing and the murmur of the sea. The owners from Holland are very friendly. Carmen is an excellent cook, at the same time a very nice and helpful hostess. She will be happy to advise you and help organize trips and transfers by water taxi. The joint dinners were a great experience both gastronomic and social.

The Lodge at Punta Rica- Hilltop Eco-Lodge with Views & Pool is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Bastimentos, where guests can makes the most of its pool with a view, private beach area and... Punta Rica Lodge is nestled in the Bastimentos island jungle, surrounded by beautiful flora (trees, colorful flowers) and fauna (amazingly rich wildlife). We loved our super friendly, open, fun and helpful hosts, Brian and Daniel, who have made us truly feel at ease and among friends in this beautiful place. Most nights we ate dinner together, since Dan cooks the most amazing and varied dishes, all from fresh, local ingredients, while Brian makes wonderful cocktails that made us feel at home and among friends, sharing stories, dreams and travel adventures. We loved the pool and the common area (living and dining room), as well as our amazing suite, the delicious and fresh meals and the smiles. Thank you. It was one of the most amazing experiences ever.

True Nature Jungle House is located in Bastimentos and offers a terrace. The property features city and sea views. It’s located in the most beautiful part of the island. The view from the balcony- indescribable!!! Peaceful, beautiful place that help you truly feel the island vibe! It’s close to the restaurants, host gave me the best advice with choosing one. Frances ( the host) is just amazing and the way she takes care of the place and the visitors, is more than perfect! Highly recommend choosing this place to stay!

Located in Bastimentos, Eclypse de Mar Acqua Lodge offers private bungalows and rooms with individual hammocks and stairs that provide access to the ocean. A restaurant is also on site. This hotel is absolutely beautiful. Perfect location, great friendly staff and few silly dogs that make the family atmosphere. We stayed in the room in the main building and it was clean, not noisy at all. I particularly enjoyed the hammock on the front porch. The food is good, it is in the panamanian price range (so it can seem expensive, but it’s similar in the whole Panama). There is a nature park on the property, where we saw sloths, red frogs, kaymans and other animals. We also highly reccomend the guided tours with local guides, they are super nice and there is a lot to see. :)
