A beautifully restored original building with new facilities in an exceptionally well-designed and impressive separate block. The quality of everything about the establishment is superb. The staff are friendly, attentive and very professional. The food is fresh, well-presented and interesting. We thought that it looked interesting in the photos when we booked but the reality was even better than we could have imagined.

A free tennis court, a gazebo and a restaurant with an extensive wine list are available. from the moment of arrival, owner greeted us knowing who we were. pleasant was room and its bathroom with great views. food excellent, served by very kind ukrainian waitresses. as we came during summer, it was not a problem to get there but during winter i would advise 4x4 or chains.

On top of that nice add-ons like swimming pool, pool table. Beds were very comfortable and rooms quite spacious.

I traveled there to run Tatra Orava Trail which starts in the city of Tvrdošín. The start of the race is literally across the street from the hotel. There is Lidl supermarket next to the hotel which was convenient. The hotel was visibly after renovation and clean. The breakfast was nice with plenty options for everyone (coffee, milk, yoghurts, cereals, eggs, cheese, bread...) There is a good public transport (buses to mountains and train) for tourists traveling without a car.

From £29 per nightI was in Oravsky Podzamok to visit Orava Castle, and this hotel is an excellent spot for visiting it, plus it has a great view. The room itself was clean and spacious, and I was happily surprised to see a little kitchenette and equipment! And lastly, I thought it was very nice of the hotel to provide guide books for this region and Orava Castle, as well as local takeaway menus. It was very helpful!

We could see Orava Castle from our room and of course it was a short way to walk there or anywhere else in town. You can park your car easily in front of the building. The host is nice and friendly and met us in a second as soon as we called.

The room was nice and clean, the location quiet and the restaurant food delicious. There was parking available as well as a wellness facility and a breakfast buffet, so we had all we needed for a 1 night stay. All in all we had a pleasant experience.

Beautiful accommodation, spacious rooms, very clean, great location (3 min walk to closest bus stop, 10 min walk to Terchova centrum bus stop), welcoming staff. Wellness was in great shape, easy to book (1 hour ahead), 4 different saunas, indoor and outdoor hot tub and some more. Grocery store 5 min walk, post office and hospital center nearby. 3 different playgrounds for kids, mini zoo with sheep, basketball/soccer court and more. Breakfast was amazing, huge and tasty selection and the hotel restaurant was generally great - delicious food and really good beer that they make in the brewery Vrsky there. If we go to Terchova again, we are definitely booking Drevenice resort.

We usually visit Penzion Josu at Christmas, this was our first summer visit and well worth it. Great location to hiking trails and thermal waters. In the evening we watched shooting stars, played table tennis and a game of chess outdoors. Not enough time to enjoy the pool or bowling alley. Our favourite place in Slovakia ❤️
