I was more impressed with Hsinchu Country (very modern) than...
I was more impressed with Hsinchu Country (very modern) than Hsinchu City. The city doesn't have an MRT, not many people speak English, and there doesn't seem to be much to see or do. I was there for new year's and couldn't even find a place to countdown. It's not so easy to walk around my area since the sidewalks are narrow. Overall, it's not a touristy place unlike Taipei or other places in Taiwan. However, it seems like a nice place to live. It's a small, quiet but developed city with tall buildings and good roads, especially Hsinchu County. It's also just one HSR station away from Taoyuan airport.
