Hotel in Kabatoro
Kabatoro Lodge & Tourist Camp features a restaurant, bar, a garden and terrace located in Kabatoro, Kasese. The hotel has family rooms. At the hotel, each room comes with a balcony. This guest house is fine if you understand that it’s a budget place to stay that is conveniently located near the gate but not inside the park. We read the reviews beforehand so we weren’t surprised. There were lights but no other power and not much water coming out of the shower but enough to manage. Parking is secure. The staff were really kind and helpful and the breakfast was ok.
Katunguru (Near Bukonjo)
Located 7.4 km from Queen Elizabeth National Park, The Elephant Home provides accommodation with a garden, a bar and room service for your convenience. I rarely write reviews but I have to write this one. The Elephant Home is more of a project and experience, I was a bit surprised at the beginning because there is no hot shower and no electricity and wifi the whole day but this actually made our stay even more perfect. I felt more present and realized how privileged I am. The staff is AMAZING. SO SO KIND AND HELPFUL. They helped us with everything and always made sure we had everything. The food was nice, sometimes maybe a bit too salty for my taste but as I said, I really appreciated what they were doing for us. I wish them all the best. We also did the vanilla tour and coffee tour - loved both.
