Super friendly host, quirky hotel in a beautiful location. Plenty of free parking. Extremely clean and comfortable, with lots of nostalgia. Sit on the balcony for your morning coffee and enjoy the hummingbirds feeding.

Situated in Mariposa, 48 km from Yosemite South Entrance, Mariposa Lodge features accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking and a garden. I did a 3,5 weeks long roadtrip and stayed in multiple hotels/hostels/motels, a different one almost every day. Mariposa Lodge was the best of all of them. It was so good, that I rearranged my schedule to stay there for another night. You need 1 hour to drive to yosemite. It is in the middle of the town, so everything you need is in walking distance. My favorite thing was the heater in the bathroom. Even in the 5 star Hilton resort hotel, they didn't have that. Also they provided Earplugs for the night.

Bear Creek cabins is a lovely, rustic little hideaway outside Yosemite. Basic facilities but clean with a log walls, fire and deck to sit on. Lou was so friendly and helpful. It was great value and a relaxing place to just be.

The apartment was beautifully decorated to match the Yosemite National Park cozy cabin vibe. The beds and sofas were soft and comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with supplies and food which was a nice surprise to find in the fridge.
