The resort (island) was pretty full but never felt like it. The staff and management were great, never intrusive but always there when we needed them. The food was exceptional at all times but particularly the private beach dinner. The snorkelling, around the island and on the boat trips was excellent with plenty of close encounters.

They seem to cater for couples rather than families which meant there were less people at the resort allowing the staff to be more attentive. Everyone was super friendly and the service was 5 star along with the food. We know of a few couples who visited Meeru island for their honeymoon and we did a lot of research and comparisons with Meeru but chose diamonds Thudufushi, and we have absolutely no regrets. Highly recommend this resort for couples.
