Exceptional location, service, with friendly welcoming staff who went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time in New Zealand. Everything was immaculate and so well done. Getting to pet the ponies and sheep and donkeys while enjoying the beautiful view of the lake was a bonus!

VR Rotorua is enriched in ethnic history. It is at this location where the First Māori settlement was established in the region by Ihunga and his dog. Set on 6 acres on the shores of the beautiful Lake Rotoiti, VR Rotorua Lake Resort is located is just 15 minutes drive from Central Rotorua.

I really enjoyed the location and the staff was really nice too. I even tried the food in the restaurant and it was very tasty Room has everything it needs, great view and a bathtub. I went to use the gym and all good.

Great location outside of Rotorua. The resort is away from the city's smell. There is nice surrounding at the channel between Lake Rotorua and Lake Rotoiti. The apartment is very well equipped. Friendly service.

To be quite honest, the only thing good about our stay at this “spa resort” was the bed.

Resort is on the lake, but there was no view from the room which is what we expected. Patio quite small, so couldn't really utilise. Staff were wonderful.

Great facilities around the resort and activities for kids; free mini-golf, pool, tennis and table tennis. 5 mins drive to downtown, Redwoods, supermarket - a great base to explore Rotorua. Great space in the luxury one-bed apartment for a family of 4 (two young children). Very attentive staff.

I had a wonderful time at VR Rotorua Lake Resort. The hotel is located on the shores of the beautiful Lake Rotoiti, which offers stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a private balcony overlooking the lake. I loved the deep bath, the luxury amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant served delicious food with a variety of options. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for scenic and comfortable accommodation in Rotorua.

This resort had everything we needed for a family getaway, my family enjoyed the tennis court and mini-golf, our Luxury room spa was absolutely huge! We had 2 nice and big TV's, the space in the one bedroom luxury apartment was generous, such a peaceful resort we will definitely be staying here every time we visit.

the location is always a positive when staying at Wai Ora Lakeside spa resort. I’ve stayed here before in 2021 and had a good experience hence why I have booked again recently. The cleaning service lady was very friendly and checked in to see whether we needed anything and if we wanted to restock any amenities.
