Set in Airlie Beach, 10 km from Coral Sea Marina, Freedom Shores Resort Airlie Beach offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. 6.4 km from Whitsunday Art Gallery and 13 km from Port of Airlie Marina, the resort provides a private beach area. The resort has a sun terrace and sea views, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. Truly unique accommodation, I can only recommend the boat-shaped rooms, very cosy and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also great (fresh fruit and juice, nice coffee, pastries, etc.), especially with the stunning view of Airlie Beach and the sea. As already mentioned, the location is a bit out of town, and the shuttle bus only starts from 11am, so a car or using the 13cabs app is probably the best when going on tour in the morning. Booking the shuttle bus from the city was very easy via the Northerlies website, I usually booked the bus in advance from a close by city hotel location.

BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort also includes a year-round outdoor pool, which is heated in winter and 13 waterslides. You can play tennis, mini-golf and pedal carts at the property. The property also offers a mini-market, poolside massage and an outdoor cinema. Fantastic family resort for families with young children. Slides are excellent, pool is warm in winter and a good size. Mini golf, tennis, basketball, volley ball areas. Plus a kids play park. Apartment had everything you need. Second bedroom with bunk beds x2, so could easily sleep 8, with 2 in the living room. We were a family of 5, kids 11, 8 and nearly 2.

Offering air conditioning, the apartment offers Blu-ray player, DVD player and a iPod docking station. For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. The property was one of the best stocked and well equipped that we have ever stayed in! Overall we felt really at home and welcomed. The apartment was incredibly spacious for the four of us, highly recommend this for a family stay.

Set within 400 metres of Catseye Beach, the 3-bedroom Poinciana 112 features a private balcony offering views of the Whitsunday Islands. Guests enjoy a swimming pool and a free transfer service from the airport or port. A complimentary golf buggy is provided for use. Very well appointed apartment with beautiful views. The apartment was extremely well equipped and the cooking facilities were excellent. Loved the little golf buggy that came with the apartment - such fun to drive around. Excellent pick up service from airport. Maree, the host, was very easy to deal with and gave us loads of information about Hamilton Island. 10 out of 0!

The expert therapists align therapeutic and luxurious treatments to suit each guest. Treatments include whole body skin therapies, massage, facials and reflexology. This stay exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. It was a quiet but not boring place with good service and options for paddling, canoeing, or snorkeling with very good equipment. The 5.30 pre-dinner hour near the pool with canapes was a great idea. The food was a creative surprise every day, and the cook was more than perfect and had considered my food limitations. There were too many small details that made it so exceptional, for example, the surprise that the chocolates left on my pillow were lactose-free, the good quality complementary wines, the nice clean trail to another beach, the rainwater for showers and the environmentally friendly shampoos and creams offered in the villas. All were carefully planned for a comfortable stay, even for a single visitor.
